Twitter: A Marketing Tool for Small Businesses

lolitapenk

As an active networker, I meet many business owners in my local region (Kent & S.E. London). I ask business owners, whom I've never met, how and if they use Twitter to increase their brand awareness and attract new customers. Many of them say they are familiar with the potential marketing power of Twitter. Many of them have a twitter account for their business, but many of them tell me that they don't have enough time to properly manage the account.

Building up a large number of quality Twitter followers takes effort and time. There are no shortcuts. Each day, business owners must set aside some "Twitter Time". When building their Twitter followers, they should aim for people who are likely to spread the word on Twitter about the business and/or purchase products/services directly from the business. If you don't care about who you follow, it is easy to build your followers through follow-backs. video bokeh museum But local businesses require local followers. A lot of bots following you on Twitter will not be very useful.

Your business may sell products online, so it is important to have a strong local Twitter following. If you own a taxi company in Sevenoaks, however, you should also have a large following. While it may be nice to have many Twitter followers in the U.S. for taxi companies, the majority of people who will use your services and need to know about them are going to be within a radius of 10 miles of Sevenoaks. After building a local Twitter following, our Sevenoaks taxi business must maintain a high level of engagement with its followers if it wants to be successful on Twitter. The business owner needs to tweet about things people will be interested in. These include traffic delays, special offers and even fun stuff.

Many business owners create a Twitter account, and then give it a try for a few days. They become frustrated when their following numbers don't grow and the time they spend on Twitter isn't translating into new business. video viral tiktok I would advise them to be patient with Twitter and not lose heart. You must tweet frequently and think about who your target audience is. Twitter is not a good marketing tool for businesses if you don’t have enough time to manage it.
